You need to write a personal thank you to everyone who brought a gift. So you can do something good / fun based on the gifts themselves.
(And if I can not think of anything - I am sure that most of his friends and did not hear what's honest, simple and original, you said something CUTES made by someone else or pretend that the baby is.)
